About Camp Lutherlyn

Lutherlyn is a resource that is a part of the Eastern Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada. Many groups have come to hold retreats and gatherings, to find a place to reconnect with nature. Below is how Lutherlyn describes the campgrounds.

Towering pines. Rolling meadow. Sandy beaches. This is what you get in the beautiful Golden Lake area! Camp Lutherlyn is an ideal sanctuary not only for camping but also for rest, renewal, and learning. Camp Lutherlyn sets high standards for staff, programming, personal safety, facilities, and health care. The Board is pleased to announce that Camp has achieved provisional one status in our journey towards Ontario Camps Association accreditation!

Camp Lutherlyn is an outdoor ministry of the Eastern Synod, Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada.

Facilities at Camp Lutherlyn

The youth will be staying in the cabins.

The Cabins are close to a newly opened Comfort Station. Each station is equipped with a lock, and you will find a shower unit, toilet, and sink to offer privacy.

We will prepare our meals together. Each participant will be teamed up to set up, cook, and clean up during each meal. Our gathering space for food and activities will be in and around Schmeider Hall.

Getting to Lutherlyn Camp and Retreat Centre

From Ottawa ( 1 hr 40 min)

  1. Get on Trans-Canada Hwy/ON-417 W
  2. Follow Trans-Canada Hwy and continue to Trans-Canada Hwy/ON-17. Travel 18.7 km.
  3. Turn left onto Bruce St/County Rd 20 (signs for County Road 20/Renfrew)
  4. Turn onto ON-60 W (signs for Eganville) and stay on. Travel 22.4km
  5. Turn left onto Kokomis Rd/ Renfrew County Rd 70 (signs for Country Road 70/Kokomis Road/Golden Lake Indian Reserve). Travel 3.3 km
  6. Turn right onto Hoffman Rd.
  7. Turn right onto Golden Mile Way.
  8. Turn right onto Lutherlyn Dr.
  9. Follow the signs to the main camp area.

From Eganville (20 min)

  1. Take HWY 60 for 13.9km
  2. Turn Left onto Kokomis RD. Travel 3.2km
  3. Turn right onto Hoffman RD. Travel 1.2km
  4. Turn right onto Golden Mile Way.
  5. Turn right onto Lutherlyn Dr.
  6. Follow the signs to the main camp area.

From Pembroke (45 min)

  1. Take HWY 41S. Travel 32.4km
  2. Turn Right on HWY 60 W. Travel 10 km
  3. Turn Left onto Kokomis RD. Travel 3.2km
  4. Turn right onto Hoffman RD. Travel 1.2km
  5. Turn right onto Golden Mile Way.
  6. Turn right onto Lutherlyn Dr.
  7. Follow the signs to the main camp area.

From Barry's Bay (38 min)

  1. Take HWY 60E. Travel 37.2km
  2. Turn Right on HWY 60 W. Travel 10 km
  3. Turn Right onto Kokomis RD. Travel 3.2km
  4. Turn right onto Hoffman RD. Travel 1.2km
  5. Turn right onto Golden Mile Way.
  6. Turn right onto Lutherlyn Dr.
  7. Follow the signs to the main camp area.
